Crafted by Karen of Karatstix, this is a pair of matching sock intarsia bobbins.  If you knit a pattern that has an intarsia design, then you will find that using a bobbin for the small sections of color will keep your yarns from tangling. To use, wrap your yarn around the center post first then thread the remaining end through the hole. The yarn will not unwind while the bobbin dangles from your knitting when the yarn is threaded through the hole. Just unwrap the yarn from the bobbin as you need more length once the bobbin is about 4 inches from your needle - you can also wrap the final loop around the foot of the sock and then slip the loop off when you need to unwrap -- this way there is enough slack in case you don't leave that necessary 4 or so inches.
